Clinical Lead | North Metro
NORTH METRO REGION
FULL-TIME PERMANENT
COMMENCEMENT: AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Clinical Lead with relevant experience to join a large dynamic team of educators and support staff at Alta-1 College.
Here’s some information about us:
At Alta-1 we recognise that adverse life experiences can impact a student’s sense of self-worth, motivation and capacity for learning, making engagement in a mainstream school setting difficult.
As an independent, co-educational CARE (Curriculum and Reengagement in Education) School, Alta-1 is a Christian organisation that works with students from years 7-12. We provide students with wraparound support to guide them on a journey of recovery through a trauma-informed approach. This approach helps students acknowledge, confront, and resolve barriers that have impacted their ability to reach their full potential.
We believe in fostering a highly relational environment where students, teachers and staff develop meaningful connections based on trust, respect and empathy. These relationships serve as the foundation for effective teaching and learning, allowing us to better understand and support the unique needs and aspirations of each student.
Now let’s talk about you:
If successful, you will be responsible for the delivery of the best possible duty of care for each student in light of the values and objectives of Alta-1 College.
You are highly relational.
You are part of a multi-disciplinary regional team within the College, all working to advance the student’s transformation. Pertinent information is shared amongst this circle of support to identify the best path forward for each student. Your high emotional intelligence will help you navigate the complexities of this environment and allow you to be flexible in your approach.
You facilitate effective leadership and staff support.
Your role is to lead, supervise and manage the therapeutic team in your region. You have a good understanding of the educational environment. You are comfortable with collaboration and enjoy engaging with the students, the staff and other team members in the student’s support team.
You take a trauma informed approach to dealing with student care.
You will oversee the operations of therapeutic support in your region and have extensive knowledge of triaging mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions for assessment and intervention. You liaise with external agencies and collaborate with them to develop consistent goals for student recovery.
You are empathetic and maintain a calm and professional environment in crisis.
You may be called upon to triage and manage critical incidents to positive outcomes. Your calm nature will help you navigate these highly emotional times, and you will provide support to both the students and the staff members affected. You are a hands-on team leader and proactive in supporting students and staff.
Why you should choose us:
We offer attractive salary packaging options and professional development all within a fun and friendly Christian working environment.
At Alta-1, our staff believe that each student is created with unique strengths and abilities and work collaboratively to see these flourish. Each day provides multiple opportunities for you to make positive contributions into the lives and futures of these students.
